Camden Salvages Series Finale with Bluefish

Wilkin De la Rosa threw six solid innings as the Camden Riversharks were able to salvage the finale of their three game series with the Bridgeport Bluefish with a 3-2 victory. Camden is back within 3.5 games of first place in the Liberty Division.

John Bale came on in the 9th to pick up the save as the win marked the first in nine chances this season against the Bluefish at Campbell's Field

De la Rosa (1-2) surrendered just two runs on four hits in six innings of work while tying his season-high with six strikeouts.

Wardell Starling (3-2) took the loss allowing three runs on seven hits in seven innings.

Noah Hall gave Camden their first lead of the series in the bottom of the first with his 15th home run, a solo shot, to make it 1-0 'Sharks.

The lead didn't last long as Steve Moss scored on an Alvin Colina passed ball in the top of the 2nd to tie the game at 1-1.

Camden regained the lead at 2-1 in the 3rd when Lloyd Turner hit an RBI double off the right field to drive home Ruddy Yan.

Steve Moss did the trick again for the Bluefish in the 6th as he cracked an RBI double that scored Wes Bankston and tied the score at 2-2.

Danny Richar gave Camden their third lead of the game at 3-2 in the bottom of the 6th with an RBI groundout that scored Noah Hall.
