> OUTLOOK-SPECIFIC STYLES > li This Saturday, Oct. 31, two top 10 picks from this year's Major League Rugby draft, Brian Nault (#2 Overall Central Washington University) and Andrew Guerra (#10 overall Notre Dame College) of the NOLA Gold Major League Rugby team, will be present to teach, inspire, and empower Baton Rouge Youth Rugby's players. Both Nault and Guerra are considered strong contenders for the USA Eagles National Rugby team.

Registration is still open for Baton Rouge Youth Rugby fall season. Daily check-in begins at 12:45 pm (online pre-registration is highly recommended), the session begins at 1 pm.

The five week Fall session is every Saturday, 1:00 pm-3:00pm (Oct. 24- Nov. 21) at BREC Highland Road Rugby Pitch. Girls and Boys in grades PreK-12 from the Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes will develop age-appropriate individual, positional and enhanced rugby skills in the three different programs:

Mommy & Me

Walking to 5 years old

Rookie Rugby

1st grade-5th grade

Junior Gold

Middle- High School

If you're new to rugby, a game consists of 2 teams, 15 players with the object of the team scoring across the opponent's score line or kicking the ball through the goalposts on a soccer sized field. Each player plays offense and defense by running, passing, kicking and catching the ball. Experience is not required or expected.
