Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen have moved into a three-way tie for number one overall in the Western Hockey League thanks to a 4-3 win in Kamloops Saturday night.

The Hitmen, Brandon and Saskatoon all top the standing with 88 points.

Former Blazer Giffen Nyren had a goal and an assist for the Hitmen while Cody Sylvester, Kris Foucault and Tyler Fiddler also scored for Calgary.

Brandon Kozun and Ian Schultz both chipped in a pair of assists as the Hitmen outshot Kamloops 29-20. Michael Snider made 17 saves to record his 15th victory of the season.

Former Hitmen Chase Schaber scored twice for Kamloops including a goal with 11.5 seconds remaining to pull the Blazers within one.

Calgary also recorded a 4-1 win in Kelowna Friday night and has now won 14 of their last 16 games.

The Hitmen will now enjoy a three day break before hosting the Red Deer Rebels Wednesday night at the Pengrowth Saddledome. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
