Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ (November 17, 2005) - The Trenton Titans in association with the Philadelphia Phantoms announced on Thursday that the Calder Cup will be in attendance when the Titans take on the Wheeling Nailers on Friday, November 18 at 7:30pm.

The Calder Cup, which is awarded annually to American Hockey League (AHL) champion, will be on display alongside the National Hockey League's Stanley Cup and the ECHL's Kelly Cup marking the first time that all three trophies have been gathered under one roof.

Last season the Phantoms, the Titans' AHL affiliate, swept the Chicago Wolves in four games to capture the second Calder Cup championship in team history, while the Titans defeated the Florida Everblades in six games for their first Kelly Cup.

The Stanley Cup has been touring the cities of 20 ECHL teams since October 26 to help raise money for hurricane relief efforts. All proceeds will benefit charities assisting in hurricane relief efforts including, but not limited to, the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and United Way. This tour is another addition to the National Hockey League's charitable efforts, which have included a joint donation with the NHL Players' Association of $1 million to the Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina relief.
