
C Sal Giardina Promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett

PEARL, MS - The Atlanta Braves have made the following roster move affecting the M-Braves roster prior to tonight's 7:00 pm game against the Montgomery Biscuits at Trustmark Park. C Sal Giardina has been promoted back to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Giardina, 26, has appeared in 12 games this season between Gwinnett and Mississippi batting a combined .190 (4-for-21) with a .393 on-base percentage. Over 45 games for the M-Braves the past two seasons, the Valrico, FL native has a .239 batting average with one home run and 11 RBI. Giardina was promoted for the first time to Gwinnett on May 25 and returned on June 4.
Giardina was Atlanta's 31st round draft choice in 2014 out of Lynn University (FL).
The Mississippi Braves roster currently stands at 24 active players plus 6 on the DL.
