
Busy weekend at Wings Stadium Complex

Kalamazoo, MI- The Wings Stadium Complex, which is also home to "The Annex" and "The Cube", announce four events for this upcoming weekend.
Southwest Michigan Ski Patrol's 2006 Ski Swap returns to the Wings Stadium Complex this Friday, November 17th from 3-9 p.m. and Saturday, November 18th from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. The annual event is the perfect opportunity to sell your gently-used equipment or shop around for a great deal.
Also on Friday, The Annex will host "Skate Against Hunger" from 6-8 p.m. The skate will feature a DJ and give the community a chance to help a local food pantry. Admission is $6; individuals needing skates can rent them for $2. Anyone that brings in a non-perishable food item will receive a $1 discount off their admission. The food collected will stay in the Kalamazoo area and will go to Fishes and Loaves.
On Saturday, Wings Stadium will be the center of the skating community, as the Annual Synchronized Skating Kick-Off will feature 45 teams comprised of 900 skaters. The event runs from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and admission to witness the skating pageantry is $5 for adults, $4 for individuals over 62 years of age. Children under the age of 5 are FREE.
The weekend activities conclude this Sunday, November 19th, when the Kalamazoo Wings battle the Bloomington PrairieThunder on Scout Day presented by Meijer. Face-off for the UHL clash is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Stadium Management Company owns both the Wings Stadium Complex and the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team. The Wings Stadium Complex is comprised of three buildings; Wings Stadium seats more than 5,100 fans for K-Wings home games and more than 8,000 people for concerts and other stage events. The Annex seats 1,367 for ice events and 2,850 for most non-ice events. The Cube is the newer of the three facilities, playing host to both ice and non-ice events. All three buildings are available for rental and feature numerous catering and meeting opportunities.
