Boise Burn News Release

BOISE, Idaho ¾ Members of the Boise Burn will visit children at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center through the American Cancer Society's Camp Rainbow Gold program Friday morning.

Travis Tofi, Mike Peko, CJ Niusulu and Head Coach Lee Leslie will be at St. Luke's downtown location at 11:00 am.

Leslie said, "The Holidays are when most of us get to count our blessings, but these children will spend Christmas in the hospital. We feel privileged to be a small part of these children's lives and hope we can brighten their day just a little."

Camp Rainbow Gold is a one-week summer camp for children aged 6-16 who have had a cancer diagnosis. This experience aims to provide a sense of independence, adventure, self-assurance and success for each camper. Camp Rainbow Gold began in 1984, at which time it was one of the first children's oncology camps in the United States. Today the camp hosts an average of 75 campers a year. Various activities ensure there is something fun for everyone, including dancing, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, rafting, and artwork and art therapy.
