
Burlington bears down, pulls past Pulaski

Burlington Sock Puppets News Release
Burlington pitching struck out thirteen Pulaski Blue Jays while allowing just one walk in a 2-1 win at the Burlington Athletic Stadium.
Indians RHP Gerson Mercedes (3-5) went five innings allowing one run to earn the victory. Burlington LHP Garrett Alwert relieved Mercedes, and pitched three innings of one hit ball striking out five.
Indians SS Jose Ortega delivered the key hit; a two out two RBI single to give the Indians a 2-1 lead in the third inning.
Tuesday Night the Indians finish their three game set with the Pulaski Blue Jays with Ace Speedway Night at the ballpark. Model cars will be presented in the concourse area. For tickets call the Indians office at 222-0223.
