Astros rally against Cardinals, 5-4

Greeneville, TN- The Greeneville Astros could be dubbed the "Comeback Kids" after rallying for another eighth victory against the Johnson City Cardinals 5-4 at Pioneer Park. Once again Johnson City got to an early lead of 4-1 on three straight hits in the fourth inning to score three of their runs with Greeneville scoring in the third on a double steal of home by LF Beau Torbert. The Astros would chip away at the lead with a double by CF Mitch Einertson to score RF Ryan Reed and Torbert. In the seventh, SS Wladamir Sutil scored after Einertson was caught in a rundown between first and second. The tie would be broken in the eighth on 1B Ole Sheldon's single to score SS Bryan Triplett. RP Enyelbert Soto came in to close the ninth perfectly for his league leading 12th save of the year. RP Ryan Thompson pitched 4 1/3 innings of relief to pick up his fourth win of the season.

The Greeneville Astros and Johnson City Cardinals meet again tomorrow at Pioneer Park starting at 7:00 PM with the gates opening at 6:00 for the final regular season home game for the Astros. It will be Fan Appreciation Night will feature many prizes giveaways throughout the night along with a post game fireworks show. Tickets are still available for tomorrow's game.
