AMARILLO, TX - Amarillo Bulls' fans are hearing footsteps and so are the two teams ahead of them in the race for a playoff spot in the South Division.

A sweep by the Amarillo Bulls over the Topeka RoadRunners for the first time since November of 2013 has pushed the Bulls to within five points of fifth and sixth spots currently held by the Wenatchee Wild and the Rio Grande Valle Killer Bees. Both the Wild and Killer Bees could only manage one point between them in their games.

It's a busy week for the Amarillo Bulls as they play three games in four days beginning on Wednesday night with a visit to Wichita Falls to face the Wildcats at Kay Yeager Coliseum at 7 pm. This Friday and Saturday it's an important showdown between the Bulls and the Wenatchee Wild which make their first trip ever to the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center.

AMARILLO BULLS @ WICHITA FALLS, WEDNESDAY, 7 PM: It's the 11th meeting of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Wichita Falls Wildcats. Amarillo Bulls Hockey Presented By Westgate Mall follows at 7 pm.

WEEKEND REWIND:

AMARILLO BULLS 4 - TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 3, OT: AJ Duggan scored early in overtime as the Amarillo Bulls ended a five game losing streak versus their rivals with an overtime win. The RoadRunners rallied from a 3-1 deficit that the Bulls had build through the first 40 minutes. Cody Gylling notched two goals, while Luke Novak had a single. Goaltender Anton Martinsson stopped 46 of 49 shots he faced.

AMARILLO BULLS 3 - TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 1: Three third period goals and goaltender Anton Martinsson were the difference on Saturday night. Joey DiBenedetto, Will Harrison and Riley Christensen netted markers for Amarillo and Martinsson kicked out 34 of 35 shots he faced.
