AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Bulls notched three out of a possible six points in three North American Hockey League games from the past week. Forward TJ Sarcona was an honorable mention for the NAHL's South Division Player of the Week for his three goal performance.

Amarillo collected a single point in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Wichita Falls Wildcats on Wednesday at Kay Yeager Coliseum. It was followed by back to back games against the Corpus Christi IceRays where the Bulls were only able to manage two out of four points. The Bulls beat the IceRays 3-2 in a thrilling contest on Saturday, but then dropped the second game on Sunday 10-3. Despite the loss, Amarillo is still one victory away from wrapping up second place in the NAHL's South Division.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE: It's the final week of the regular season for the Amarillo Bulls and the North American Hockey League and it features three games in four nights. On Wednesday and Thursday the Bulls visit the Topeka RoadRunners at Kansas Expo Center-Landon Arena at 7 pm. It's Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday as the Bulls host the Texas Tornado in the final regular season home game before playoffs.

UPCOMING PROMOTIONS: It's Street Scion Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday when the Bulls host the Texas Tornado at 7 pm in the Bull Pen at the Amarillo Civic Center. One lucky fan will shoot to win a brand new Scion. For the first time ever, your hockey team is giving away the jerseys off their own backs. Fans can register for an opportunity to win a game-worn jerseys and draws will be made throughout the night. After the game, it's the Bulls Awards Ceremony in The Coral and everyone is invited.

BROADCAST SCHEDULE: All three games this week can be heard live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com, beginning with The Bulls Warm Up Show Presented By Wayland Baptist University at 6:45 pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday nights. The puck drop for all three games is at 7 pm.

STATS PACK:

BULLS BITES WRAP: Forwards Dan Sherer, Michael Erickson and TJ Sarcona have combined for 14 goals in the month of March. Ten of the Bulls 32 goals were scored on the power play. The Amarillo Bulls have played very well in Topeka this season, collecting five out of a possible eight points (2-2-1). Forward Dan Sherer has fired seven goals in eight games.

WEEKEND REWIND:

WICHITA FALLS WILDCATS 5 - AMARILLO BULLS 4, SHOOTOUT: A third period rally by the Bulls fell short on Wednesday night as the Wildcats posted the win in a shootout. The Bulls trailed 4-1 midway through the second period and proceeded to score times to tie the game. TJ Sarcona and Dan Sherer each had two goals in the loss.

AMARILLO BULLS 3 - CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS 2: TJ Sarcona had the game winner late in the third period to power the Bulls past the IceRays. Mitch Rogge had the other two goals and both were on the power play. The first game in the opening 20 minutes and the second tied the game 2-2 in the third period prior to the Sarcona game winner. Goaltender Nikifor Szczerba stopped 20 of 22 shots he faced.

CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS 10 - AMARLLO BULLS 3: Five third period goals broke open a close game and sent the IceRays on their way to a big victory over the Bulls. Forward Michael Erickson notched two first period goals to give Amarillo a 2-1 lead at the break. Sean Keane added a second period goal that cut the IceRays lead at the time to 4-3, but he Bulls couldn't get any closer. Mitch Rogge picked up two assists in the loss.
