
Michigan Warriors Regular Season Final Home Weekend

FLINT, MI - With only three home games remaining in the regular season, the Michigan Warriors have activities planned to help the fans and the team celebrate their inaugural season of in Flint and hope that all hockey fans in Mid-Michigan will come out and take part during the weekend of March 25-27 as the Warriors play host to their North Division rival Janesville Jets.
To achieve this successful culmination of hard work both on and off the ice the Warriors are teaming up with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan for the game against the Jets on Friday night for "Food Bank Night" at Perani Arena. ALL tickets for Friday night's game will be $8, as this will enable the Warriors to make a $2 donation to the food bank for every ticket sold.. The Warriors hope all hockey fans will come out and enjoy great playoff run hockey and help the Warriors give back to their adopted community, once again.
For the game on Saturday night against the Jets, it is "Hurley Medical Center Night" at Perani Arena and, once again, ALL tickets for Saturday's game will be $8. By teaming up with Hurley Hospital, the Warriors will be able to make a $2 donation to Hurley Child Life Services for each ticket sold, as the Warriors again "give back" to their adopted home community.
The final home game of the regular season is Sunday. The 2 p.m. matinee game is "Fan Appreciation Day" as the Warriors recognize the Mid-Michigan community for all their support during the season.
As a part of Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, the Warriors will be holding a meet and greet session in the Perani Arena lobby after the game where each fan can get an autographed picture of their favorite Warriors player. During the game, the team will be holding raffles and giveaways, as well as a children's activity. Also for Sunday's game, the Warriors will have a "buy 1 ticket, get 1 free" promotion to help recognize the support the team has had all season long from the hockey fans in Flint and surrounding communities.
As the Warriors conclude the regular season, the team will also be holding a silent auction all weekend long where fans can bid on various game-worn jerseys and helmets.
The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan serves 22 counties with an active network of nearly 400 partner agencies that work daily to distribute food to hungry neighbors.With innovative programs like Kids Cafe and the Backpack program, food relief is offered to children in need, while the Senior Box Program reaches out with a monthly food box for low-income seniors. In 2010, the Food Bank distributed over 19.2 million pounds of food with a 6.3% increase in pounds distributed through partner agencies that consist of church pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and community centers.
