THE SERIES: This is the third and fourth meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Corpus Christi IceRays. The Bulls won the first two games in the Texas Panhandle 7-1 and 4-0. Matt Sieckhaus leads the Bulls offense in the series with four goals and two assists for six points, while Kyle Gattelaro has five points.
BULLS REWIND: The Amarillo Bulls powered their way to victories in North Richland Hills with 4-2 and 7-0 triumphs over the Lone Star Brahmas. Mike Davis, Joe Grabowski and Matt Sieckhaus led the Bulls in the two victories with two goals apiece. Fourteen different players had at least one point. Five of the 11 goals scored in the two games were via the powerplay while six markers came in the final 20 minutes of play.
BULLS NOTES: Goaltender Paul Berrafato extended his shutout string to 120 minutes or two straight games after blanking the Lone Star Brahmas 7-0 on Wednesday night. Berrafato, who has committed to Holy Cross University, lowered his goals against average to 2.10 while raising his save percentage to .921. All 14 of the Bulls victories this season have come when they have netted the first goal. First periods continue to be an issue for opponents against the Bulls with just nine goals scored.
ICERAYS LAST IN ACTION: The Corpus Christi IceRays played four games in five nights against the same opponent the Odessa Jackalopes and didn't fair that well. After winning the first one 5-3, the IceRays would lose the next three 3-1, 3-1, and 4-1.
