Amarillo Bulls News Release
Amarillo, TX - The North American Hockey League's South Division-leading Amarillo Bulls have announced a blockbuster weekend of activities at their Friday and Saturday night home games to support the greater Amarillo community as the Pride of Amarillo take on the visiting Topeka Pilots.
On Friday, fans will be treated to "Health & Hockey Night" to benefit ADVO, Hope to Opportunities Foundation. Friday's game will kick-off at 7:05 p.m. with a ceremonial puck drop by Retired Navy Admiral Ronny Jackson, the former physician to Presidents Trump and Obama.
A native of Levelland, Texas, Dr. Jackson will also hold a fan meet-and-greet in the Amarillo Civic Center concourse to promote healthy living and he also will participate in a special on-ice game during intermission. The night is part of the Amarillo Bulls' longstanding "Health & Hockey" program in which Bulls players promote positive health and exercise habits to local children groups.
On Saturday at 7:05 p.m., the Bulls will celebrate the Amarillo community's children with "Bulls Give Back to Kids Night." All children ages 12 and Under receive a specially discounted admission ticket for just $5, and every kid in attendance will have a chance to win special themed prizes! Proceeds from the night to benefit Amarillo-based CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), a non-profit that believes every child who's been abused or neglected deserves to have a dedicated advocate speaking up for their best interest in court, at school and in our community.
Immediately following Saturday's game, the Bulls will hold a charity jersey auction of game-worn Bulls jersey to benefit CASA. You can learn more about CASA's child advocacy work at www.pleasebeacasa.org/about-about-us.
