
Bulls Shut out IceRays Sunday

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - In their third meeting of the weekend, the Amarillo Bulls skated to a 4-0 shutout win over the Corpus Christi IceRays at American Bank Center. Amarillo netminder Jason Grande made 25 saves to record his second shutout of the 2018-19 season.
Brett Abdelnour, Logan Jenuwine, Brenden Datema and Jason Brancheau scored for the Bulls (13-3-1-2, 29 pts.).
Abdelnour's goal game on a deflection of a point shot from Datema at 6:14 of the first period. The goal was the first scored on the power play by either team this weekend.
Jenuwine improved the visitors' lead to 2-0 with a shot from the left wing that beat IceRays goaltender Florian Mnich at 11:02 of the second period.
Datema immediately scored off a faceoff at the 12:14 mark of the third period during 4-on-4 action, then Brancheau added an empty-net goal with 5:43 remaining to seal the four-goal victory for the division-leading Bulls.
The IceRays were outshot by a 32-25 margin.
Corpus Christi closes its season-long 13-game homestand this coming weekend with games Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17 against the Lone Star Brahmas. Both games at American Bank Center are set for 7:05 PM.
