Bulls Prepare for Buys Weekend

October 28, 2011 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Amarillo Bulls News Release

AMARILLO, TX - Two very special events are part of a big weekend of hockey at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The first place Amarillo Bulls start a two consecutive weekend home stand on Saturday when they face the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7 pm.

It's United Way Night sponsored by Xcel Energy, and the Bulls will be wearing their special United Way Jerseys. A live auction follows immediately after the game with proceeds to benefit the United Way campaign. For that game only, $3 for every ticket sold will be donated to the United Way. There will also be a second intermission shootout between Andrew Mitchell of Toot'n Totum and Pat Ware of Amarillo National Bank.

On the ice that night the Bulls will look to extend their winning streak to five games as they currently sit atop the South Division with a 10-1-2 record.

On Sunday night at 6 pm, the Amarillo Bulls entertain their nasty rivals the Topeka RoadRunners. It's Kids Free Night courtesy of Wal-Mart, and all children 13 and under can enter the game for free. It's just the second meeting of the regular season between Amarillo and Topeka. The last time they met, the Bulls dumped the RoadRunners 5-3.

Tickets for both games are available at the Bulls Hockey Office located at 301 South Polk in the Amarillo Building; Civic Center Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket Outlets. To inquire about Group Tickets, Birthday Party Packages, Full or Partial Season Tickets as well as Seven-Game Flex Packs, please call the Bulls Office at 806-242-1122.
