Bulls at Corpus Christi, Game Night Preview

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Amarillo Bulls look for their fifth win in a row and 39th of the season tonight when they visit the Corpus Christi IceRays at American Bank Center at 7 pm. It's the lone game of the week for the Bulls, while the IceRays begin a very busy stretch that will see them take on the Odessa Jackalopes in a pair of important games in West Texas.

The Bulls and the IceRays will meet for the sixth time this season with still two more to come in the Texas Panhandle in a couple of weeks. Amarillo has taken points in all five games despite Corpus Christi notching overtime and a shootout wins.

Forward TJ Sarcona leads the Bulls in the series with three goals and five assists for eight points, while Brooks Behling has five goals. Goaltender Mike Taffe is 3-0 versus Corpus Christi and a goals against average of less than three per game.

Five different Corpus Christi IceRays' players each have three points, while goaltender Anthony Stolarz has had to make 126 saves in his four appearances.

A win by the Bulls would be their 21st on the road this season which leads the NAHL. Meantime, the game is just as important for the IceRays who have had their lead for the fourth and final playoff spot trimmed to five points, following back-to-back losses to Odessa.

Puska brings you all of the hard hitting action at 7 pm. Hockey is back at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center next Friday, Mar. 9 and Saturday, Mar. 10 when the Amarillo Bulls entertain the Texas Tornado at 7 pm.
