
Bulldogs Win in First Home Game

DAYTON, OH-The Dayton Bulldogs won their inaugural season first home game against the Cincinnati Marshals on Sunday night at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. The Bulldogs' game ended with a final score of 52-34.
After last week's loss to the Marshals, the Bulldogs wanted to prove themselves at home. Quarterback Antonio Davis completed 20 passes out of 34 attempts, and he threw for 227 yards of the 260 total yards on offense. Four of his passes made their way into the end zone by way of Receivers Anthony Tyus, Deyshawn Jones, and David Blount. Tyus gained 98 receiving yards with two touchdowns. Running Back/Linebacker Dontai Horton rushed for 27 yards and three touchdowns.
During the first quarter, the Bulldogs' defensive front kept the Marshals scoreless. The defense intercepted two passes from Marshals' Quarterback Seth Ellis in the fourth quarter. Linebacker Rashaad Royster led the defense with a total of 4 solo tackles and one interception. Blount had the other interception. The second leading tackler was Matt Quinn, who is recorded having two solo tackles and two assisted tackles.
