Dayton Bulldogs News Release

DAYTON, OH-- Due to a lack of game day attendance, the Bulldogs are looking for more economical accommodations.

The Bulldogs ownership anticipated a slow start to ticket sales in Dayton, but, with crowds averaging only 642 fans at the past three home games, it became apparent that the Nutter Center was too complex for the Bulldogs' needs.

Denise Jackson, a member of the ownership group, said, "Our contract with the Nutter Center provides for payment to the venue first, with any remaining revenue being given to the team."

"Currently, ticket sales are only covering security and miscellaneous expenses, which leaves no money for paying the players," continued Jackson. "The amount of sales generated does not begin to support the expense incurred for use of the arena." The Bulldogs are in discussion with two facilities for future games. The new facilities offer an indoor environment better tailored to the team's current needs.

When negotiations are complete, the new facility will be announced. Continue to check www.DaytonBulldogs.org for more information.
