Bulldogs Take on Springfield in AHL Eastern Conference Quarter-Finals

The Hamilton Bulldogs will begin their quest for the 2002-03 Calder Cup as they will host the Springfield Falcons beginning on Tuesday, April 15th at 7:00 p.m. in Game #1 of the AHL Eastern Conference Quarter-Finals.
The Falcons defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack 3-1 on Friday night in Hartford, which gave Springfield a 2-0 series sweep in the AHL Eastern Conference Qualifying Round.
The Hamilton Bulldogs, winners of the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy as the AHL's Regular Season Points Champions, will face the Springfield Falcons and head coach Marty McSorley for the first time this year, as these two clubs did not meet in the regular season.
This series will also mark the first-ever playoff series between the Bulldogs and Falcons.
The Bulldogs (AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers) and the Falcons (AHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes and Tampa Bay Lightning) are the only two AHL clubs that are affiliated with two NHL clubs, respectively.
