Bulldogs Sign 3rd Round Selection Joshua Avery

BRANTFORD, ONTARIO. Brantford Bulldogs Interim General Manager Matt Turek today announced the signing of 2023 3rd Round, 54th overall selection, forward Dylan Joshua Avery to a Standard Players Agreement.

Avery, hailing from Cavan, Ontario, arrives with the Bulldogs as one of the most exciting offensive talents from the 2023 OHL Priority Selection Draft. The left-shooting centerman posted a brilliant 31 goals & 32 assists for 63 points in 35 regular season games with the Peterborough Petes U16 AAA program. Avery continued on his torrid pace as games got bigger, posting 4 goals & 11 assists for 15 points through 8 playoff games and another 4 goals & 2 assists for 6 points in 6 games at the OHL Cup.

"The Brantford Bulldogs are very happy to receive a commitment from Joshua Avery." said Bulldogs Interim General Manager Matt Turek.

"Joshua is one of the most offensively gifted players in this past draft and brings a style of game that will get our fans out of their seats. Off the ice, Joshua is a young man we are looking forward to having in our community and representing what it means to be a Bulldog."
