Bulldogs Lose 4-3 to Oshawa in SO

HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs earned a big point Thursday in a 4-3 shoot-out loss to the Oshawa Generals at FirstOntario Centre.

Oshawa scored first with a short-handed goal at 2:38 of the 1st period, but the Bulldogs offence got rolling as Matthew Strome (23, 24) scored twice to give the home team a 2-1 lead.

The visitors tied the game 2-2 at 6:57 of the 2nd period with the Bulldogs taking the lead once again as Logan Morrison (7) wristed one home on the power-play as the Black and Gold went to the dressing room with a 3-2 lead.

On a 5-on-3 advantage in the 3rd, Oshawa tied the game 3-3 at 15:47 to send the game to overtime.

There was no scoring in OT forcing a shoot-out. Both Generals shooters scored in the skills competition but only Arthur Kaliyev could get one past the Oshawa goalie.

The Bulldogs are on the road in Kitchener on Friday before returning to FirstOntario Centre on Saturday to host the Ottawa 67's at 4 pm.
