Ottawa, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Binghamton Senators 1-0 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. Cedrick Desjardins posted the shutout while Sergei Kostitsyn scored the game's lone goal.

Hamilton starting goaltender Cedrick Desjardins and Binghamton starting goaltender Mike Brodeur stopped all shots they faced through the first two periods. Desjardins made 20 saves while Brodeur stopped all 29 'Dogs shots.

Ryan Russell earned a shorthanded breakaway early in the third period but Brodeur made a blocker save on Russell's shot.

Kostitsyn scored the first goal of the game at 8:48 of the final frame. Mathieu Darche collected the puck behind the net before feed a pass to Kostitsyn, who was positioned in front of the net. Kostitsyn one-timed a shot that beat Brodeur through the legs.
