
Bulldogs Add Hewko And Yetman To Training Camp Roster

HAMILTON, ON - Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today that the club has signed centres John Hewko and Stephen Yetman to Amateur Try-Out contracts (A.T.O.) for the Bulldogs upcoming training camp in St. John's, Newfoundland.
Hewko, a 23-year-old native of Hamilton, Ontario, posted 13 points (5-8-13) and six penalty minutes in 12 games with Valley Forge Freedom of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League last season.
Yetman, a 23-year-old native of St. John's, Newfoundland, recorded 20 points (5-15-20) along with 14 penalty minutes in 21 games with Esbjerg EfB Ishockey of the Oddset Ligaen league in Denmark in 2007-2008. Before last season, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward played three seasons in the United Hockey League with the Kansas City Outlaws and Rockford IceHogs as well as Lillehammar in Norway. His most productive season came in 2005-2006 when he accumulated 60 points (19-41-60) and 28 penalty minutes in 74 games for the IceHogs.

All 'Dogs pre-season games will be broadcast on the club's flagship radio station, TALK 820 (820 AM) and www.hamiltonbulldogs.com beginning with a pre-game show five minutes before the game's scheduled start time.
The Hamilton Bulldogs are scheduled to open their 13th AHL season at MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Friday, October 10th, when they will meet the Manitoba Moose in the first of back-to-back games between the North Division rivals. The 'Dogs 2008-2009 home opener will take place Friday, October 17th, when they battle the Hartford Wolf Pack at Copps Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. All 80 Hamilton Bulldogs regular season games will be broadcast on TALK 820. Every Bulldogs regular season and post-season broadcasts will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to puck drop.
