Brandon Wheat Kings News Release
Brandon, MB. - Winter has arrived and that means backyard skating rinks are being built throughout the Westman region!
The Brandon Wheat Kings are excited to partner with RONA Brandon to help encourage their community to get outside and embrace the winter season by building a backyard rink, no matter the size. Whether it's a simple sheet of ice for your toddlers to sled skate on or something to rival the Wheat King's own Westoba Place, The RONA Rink Contest wants to see what your family is skating on this winter.
Residents of Westman are encouraged to build a backyard rink and submit a picture or video of it to the hockey club's social media accounts by using the hashtag #RONARink during the RONA Rink Weekend, December 18 - 20, 2020. Posting your picture with the #RONARink hashtag on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook is your entry into the contest and all photo entries will be retweeted, shared and re-posted across all of the club's accounts during the RONA Rink submission weekend. From all the submissions received by the hockey club, five lucky rink builders will be chosen to have Wheat Kings skate on their very own backyard rink this winter!
To help you build the best rink possible, RONA Brandon has assembled five different backyard rink packages with city and rural lot sizes in mind. If you pre-order your RONA Rink by November 7th, you'll save 10% off your rink package.
