Buffalo Beauts to Host Free Agent Camp

The Buffalo Beauts of the National Women's Hockey League are conducting a Free Agent Camp this coming weekend at the Northtown Center at Amherst in Williamsville, N.Y.
As of this morning, 18 players have requested and received invitations to the camp, with a few more expected to be invited this week.
Beauts general manager Mandy Cronin, a former goaltender at the University of Maine who went on to become a co-founder of the Canadian Women's Hockey League and player in the league, will consider all players at the camp for roster spots and NWHL contracts.
The camp will be run by new Buffalo head coach Pete Perram, who previously led Switzerland's Women's National Team and has more than two decades of coaching experience at every level.

The NWHL's fifth season begins in October with an increased schedule of 24 games for each team, followed by the Isobel Cup Playoffs. Salary caps for each team have been increased by 50 percent to $150,000, and the players will receive a 50 percent split of revenue from all league-level sponsorship and media deals.
