Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE - Since becoming a regular in the starting lineup for Nashville Soccer Club, Ropapa Mensah has made an impact all over the pitch, and that continued in Saturday night's 3-3 draw against Ottawa Fury FC. His goal and key plays in the attacking third earned him Budweiser Man of the Match honors.
Mensah started his 70 minutes of work strong with a great chance on goal that was knocked away by the goalkeeper. In the 9' minute, his run down the wing to find Lebo Moloto across the pitch led to Daniel RÃos' opening goal. Moments later, he had three great chances that narrowly missed, including two off of the goalposts.
In the second half, Mensah continued to work and finally found his goal with a header off of a Justin Davis free kick to even the match at 2-2.
Mensah has started four consecutive league matches, and he has been involved in at least one goal in each of the last three matches. He will look to continue his hot streak when Nashville SC hosts New York Red Bulls II on Wednesday night.
