Bucks Sign Two Rookies

LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, of the Central Hockey League, announced Tuesday that they have signed Ryan Rondeau and Joseph Harcharik for the 2011-2012 season.
Ryan Rondeau is 25 years old from Carvel, Alberta. He played the previous four seasons at Yale University. While playing for Yale, the team won the NCAA (ECAC) Championship in 2008-2009.
The 6'0", 174 pound goalie appeared in 34 games last season. While in net Rondeau had a 1.92 goals against average and a .928 save percentage. He was briefly called up to the Adirondack Phantoms (AHL) last season.
"Ryan was at the top of the list in all categories for goaltenders in the NCAA D1 last year," says Head Coach Serge Dube. "His hard work in practice will make the team better and I am fully confident putting him in net against any opponent."
Joseph Harcharik is 23 years old from Des Moines, Iowa. Harcharik spent the last two seasons playing for Robert Morris University. Before attending Robert Morris, Joseph played four seasons with the North Iowa Outlaws (NAHL).
The 6'0", 183 pound center appeared in 175 games for the Outlaws. He scored 65 goals and had 78 assists for a total of 143 points. He appeared in 17 games for Robert Morris scoring 2 goals and 2 assists.
"I am really looking forward to playing for the Laredo Bucks," says Joseph Harcharik. "I have heard many great things about the team, the organization and the community. I am thrilled to be a part of this and can't wait for the season to start!"
"Joseph is an all-around center that will help with important face-offs and killing penalties," stated Head Coach Dube. "He also has good vision on the ice so I look forward to having him put some good numbers up for us."
The Laredo Bucks now have 11 players, with the addition of Rondeau and Harcharik, signed for the 2011-2012 season.

You must reserve your seat by this deadline to keep your seat location and to receive a season ticket booklet for the upcoming season.
