Bucks Place Bes On IR

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced Wednesday that they have placed Two-Time MVP Jeff Bes on the 14-day IR. Bes left the Bucks 4-3 loss Monday night in Bossier-Shreveport with an injury.

This is Bes' first trip to the IR since the beginning of the 2006-07 season, when he missed 13 games.

Bes, the reigning league MVP, is currently third in the CHL in scoring with 60 (14-46=60) points, including a league-leading 46 assists. Bes has scored at least one point in 31 of the Bucks 39 games this season.

Bes, who is also the Bucks assistant coach, passed two significant milestones this month, scoring his 900th career point January 16th in Corpus Christi, and scoring his 500th CHL point on January 10th against the Ice Rays. Bes now has 906 points in his 17-year career.

The Bucks will finish up their three-game road trip Thursday night at Rio Grande Valley.

The Bucks will wear their Annual President's Day Jersey's on Saturday January 31 when they host Corpus Christi at the LEC. The Jersey's will be auctioned off after the game.
