Despite last Saturday's win, the Bucks are still just 2-4-3 in their last nine games.

Laredo will be looking to win their first road game since December 6th, when they beat the Brahmas 2-1 in a shootout. Since that night the Bucks have gone winless in their last seven road games (0-4-3).

Jeff Bes enters Friday's game on the brink of another milestone, as he is just three points away from 900 in his entire 17-year professional career. Bes currently is third in the CHL in scoring with 51 points (12-39=51).

Darryl Smith continues to have a storybook rookie year, as he picked up the All-Star game MVP award for the CHL team on Wednesday night. In the All-Star's 8-4 loss to Colorado Smith scored two points (1-1=2), including the tying goal early in the second period.

Smith currently leads all CHL rookies in scoring with 43 points (21-22=43).

The Ice Rays enter Friday's game struggling, as they have lost three games in a row, and five of their last six to slip into last place in the division.

Corpus has two home games this weekend, before embarking on a four-game road trip.

All-Star Chris Richards leads Corpus in scoring with 44 points (18-26=44).

The Bucks have not lost to the Ice Rays in regulation this season, going 4-0-1.
