The Bucks got on the scoreboard quickly in the first period. Cullaton slipped a centering pass from the right wall to the slot where Kouba scored on a wrist shot at 5:05. It was the fourteenth of the season for Kouba. The Bucks then extended their lead as forward James Hiebert fired a pass up the right wing to Cullaton who cut in and scored his seventh of the season, going five hole at 6:51 to make it 2-0 Laredo. At that point Corpus Christi coach Ken McRae snapped and started throwing water bottles onto the ice in frustration and was ejected from the game. Later in the period forward Jeff Bes hopped on a loose puck in front and buried it to make it 3-0 at 15:26. It was the eighteenth of the season for Bes, including five goals against Corpus Christi in just three games.

In the second period the Bucks continued to roll. On a power play chance defenseman Adam Rivet fed the puck in front to forward Chris Grenville who one-timed it home at 6:45 to make it 4-0 Laredo. The goal was the fourteenth of the season for Grenville and his sixth point in the last three games. Laredo continued their assault. Rivet scored his tenth of the season on a wrist shot from the high slot on a power play to make it 5-0 at 10:25. The two goals put the Bucks within one of giving everyone in attendance a free frosty from Wendy's. Laredo didn't make the crowd wait long as 39 seconds later Kouba backhanded in a rebound at 11:04 for a 6-0 lead and his second of the night.

In the third period forward Steve Simoes grabbed a loose puck in front and spun it into the net at 5:59 for his ninth of the season. Cullaton then picked up his second of the night on a sweet setup by rookie forward Brett Arcand-Kootenay at 11:07 to complete the scoring. FINAL SCORE Laredo 8, Corpus Christi 0.
