Laredo Bucks News Release

The Laredo Bucks will play three preseason games during training camp in preparation for the 2003-2004 Central Hockey League season. The three-game schedule includes Laredo's first-ever preseason home game: the Bucks play the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at the Laredo Entertainment Center on Saturday, October 11 at 7:05pm.

The Bucks open the preseason with a game against New Mexico on Thursday, October 9 at Memorial Coliseum in Corpus Christi. The game is part of the Corpus Christi Caller Times "Best of the Best" Preseason Showcase, which includes the Bucks, the Corpus Christi Rayz, the New Mexico Scorpions and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. The Bucks' second game in the showcase is the Saturday, October 11 battle against Rio Grande Valley at the LEC. The Bucks' final preseason game is at 5:00pm on Sunday, October 12 in Austin.

"I'm happy with this schedule," says Bucks Head Coach/General Manager Terry Ruskowski. "I thought last year we needed three games, and I'm really happy to have three this year. It's very important for us. We're going to have tough decisions to make. After three games, the players' true colors will come out. It's a good test of endurance for the players."

Laredo Bucks season ticketholders receive free admission to the Bucks' home preseason game on October 11. For non-season ticketholders, the admission price is six dollars. For more information, please call the Laredo Bucks at 718-BUCKS.
