Bucks Close Out Pre-Season Tonight

COLLEGE STATION, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will close out their pre-season schedule tonight as they take on the Austin Ice Bats in a rematch of last night's 4-3 Bucks loss.

Last night saw the Bucks outshoot the Bats 44-21, with a combined 249 penalty minutes, 15 major penalties and 12 misconducts.

Rookie forward Brent MacSween continued to impress this pre-season, as he netted a hat trick, with all three goals coming via the power-play. MacSween now has four goals in two games, including the three power-play goals, and one game-winning goal.

The Bucks will suit up 18 players again tonight, with returners James Hiebert, Steve Simoes, Chris Korchinski, Igor Agarunov, and Serge Dube to play for Laredo.

Bucks fans will get their first look at third-year goalie Dustin Traylen, who will be between the pipes tonight along with rookie Kevin Beech. Traylen went 22-17-4 last year for the Port Huron Flags (UHL), with a .912 save percentage, and a 2.76 goals against average. Beech played in the pre-season win against Corpus Christi stopping seven of eight shots that came his way.

Laredo will suit up eight rookies again tonight, with MacSween leading the group. Alex Penner has two goals and leads the team with 37 penalty minutes.

*Bucks Notes*

*After the game tonight the Bucks will travel the 326 miles back to Laredo.

*With the George Lopez show at the LEC Saturday night there is no ice available for the Bucks to practice, so they will practice Sunday afternoon where Ruskowski will likely make his first cuts.

The Bucks will hold their annual season ticket holder party on Monday October 15th from 7:30-9:30pm at the LEC. Bucks season ticket holders are invited to meet this years Bucks players and staff. There will also be food and entertainment during the party, which is exclusive to season ticket holders only.
