Youngstown SteelHounds News Release

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown SteelHounds finish the preseason 0-2-0 as they drop to the Cincinnati Cyclones at the Chevy Centre by a score of 4-1. A scoreless first period was no hint for what happened in the second as Cincinnati scored four goals, three on the power to play to take a 4-0 lead. Matt Macdonald and Travis Fuller each had two goals for the Cyclones who kicked off the preseason on the right foot. Cincinnati finished 3-14 on the power play.

Youngstown's one goal came from newcomer Erik Przepiorka with 7:01 left in the game. Andy Franck made 21 saves in the loss. The Hounds finished 0-3 on the power play and only tallied 14 shots on goal for the game.

The Hounds are now 1-2-1 against the ECHL all-time. Friday night it's for real as the Hounds travel to play the Oklahoma City Blazers in the opening season match-up at 8:35pm. The game will be aired live on one of the Cumulus family of stations and also on SteelHounds.com.
