The Bucks wasted no time getting things going. Defenseman Serge Dube converted a backdoor pass from forward Jeff Bes for a power play goal at 4:35 of the first. It was the 14th of the season for Dube and his first goal since January 20th. The Rayz tied it on a power play when forward Chris Robertson redirected a shot from defenseman Tim Laurila at 8:48.
In the second period the Bucks took the lead for good. Forward Ladislav Kouba took a long breakaway pass from Dube and streaked in to score his 26th of the season at 6:56. Then forward Chris Grenville found forward Brent Cullaton all alone in front of the Corpus Christi net for a 3-1 lead and Cullaton's 20th of the year at 14:57. It was the fifth straight game with a goal for Grenville and his team leading 35th. The Bucks tacked on again as forward Frank Lukes worked a give and go with Cullaton for Luke's 5th of the season at 18:56 for a 5-1 Laredo advantage.
In the third period the Bucks gave everyone a free frosty when forward Igor Agarunov swatted in a loose puck at 9:13 to complete the scoring. FINAL SCORE Laredo 6, Corpus Christi 1.
