Rayz goalie Brent Zelenewich took a bad slashing penalty just 90 seconds into the first period and the Bucks quickly made him pay. Just 14 seconds later forward Jeff Bes found Grenville for an easy back door tap in goal at 1:44. It was the 15th of the year for Grenville. Grumet-Morris then came up with a huge save later in the period to protect the 1-0 lead as he stopped Rayz forward Ryan Carter on a shorthanded breakaway seven minutes into the game.

In the second period Bes again found Grenville backdoor for a tap in goal for his second of the night and a 2-0 lead at 4:03.

Early in the third the Bucks struck again. Forward Brent Cullaton got loose on a shorthanded breakaway and scored on a wrist shot high stick side at 4:12. It was his ninth of the year and the Bucks CHL leading 14th shorthanded goal of the season. Grumet-Morris stopped all 11 shots in the third to complete the shutout. FINAL SCORE Laredo 3, Corpus Christi 0.

Grumet-Morris stopped 21 shots to post his third shutout of the season and improve to 27-10-3. Grumet-Morris is tied for the CHL lead in shutouts, along with teammate David Lemanowicz. Brent Zelenewich allowed three goals on 22 shots and fell to 6-10-1. Laredo was 1-7 on the power play, while Corpus Christi was 0-5. The Bucks out shot the Rayz 22-21.
