
Bucks Bes Wins CHL Performance Of Week

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks, along with the Central Hockey League, announced Tuesday that Jeff Bes has won the Performance of the Week Award for the period ending January 16th.
Bes received 40% of the fan vote on www.centralhockeyleague.com, for scoring his 900th career point in the Bucks January 16th win at Corpus Christi. Bes beat out Colorado's Konrad Reeder, who received 35% of the votes. Reeder scored four goals in the All-Star Game on January 14th.
Bes, a Tillsonburg, Ontario Native, now has 906 points in his 17-year Professional career.
A week earlier on January 10th Bes became just the 18th player to score 500 CHL points, in the Bucks win over the Ice Rays.
The two-time CHL MVP is in the midst a seven game point streak, and currently is second in the league in scoring with 60 points (14-46=60), just one behind Odessa's Sebastien Thinel (27-34=61).
Bes left the Bucks 4-3 loss to Bossier on Monday night with an injury, he did not return and his status is unknown.
The Bucks are nominated for the Performance of the Week Award again this week, for their 5-4 come-from-behind win over Texas on January 21st.
Fans can vote for the Bucks to win the award until Monday (Feb 2) at www.centralhockeyleague.com.

The Bucks will finish up their three-game road trip Thursday night at Rio Grande Valley.
