In the second period Odessa connected on a power play chance as forward Matt Cressman scored on a wrist shot from the bottom of the right circle at 1:30. Then Bucks forward Hans Benson took a backdoor pass from Cullaton and jammed it in at 17:49 for his second goal in a many nights and fourth of the season to make it 3-1.

In the third period Bucks goalie Dov Grumet-Morris came up with a huge save robbing Odessa forward Sebastien Thinel with a left pad stop early in the frame with the Jackalopes on a power play. Also early in the third the Bucks survived a full two-minute two-man advantage for Odessa on the power play. The Bucks sealed the win when forward Chris Grenville went top shelf with a wrist shot for a power play tally at 9:44 for his team leading 26th of the season. FINAL SCORE Laredo 4, Odessa 1.
