
Bucks, Americans Play Deciding Game Seven Tonight

ALLEN, TX- The Laredo Bucks and Allen Americans will play game seven of their 2010 Central Hockey League Southern Conference semifinals series tonight at the Allen Event Center. Game time is 7:30pm. The best of seven series is tied at three games apiece. The Bucks will hold the official road watch party at Hal's Landing. The party will start at 7pm and Hal's will show the game on a large projection screen. There will be specials and Bucks staff members will be on hand giving fans a chance to win prizes.

The winner of tonight's deciding game seven will advance to the Southern Conference Finals to take on top-seeded Odessa. The Bucks have a 13-5 all-time record when they can eliminate an opponent from the postseason and hold a 6-5 mark when facing elimination.
The Bucks were forced to game seven with a 3-2 loss Tuesday night in game six. The Americans scored twice in the third period to break a 1-1 tie and held on for the win late. Todd Griffith and Darryl Smith scored goals for the Bucks while Pier Pelletier made 40 saves in defeat.
Laredo is 2-6 in their last eight one-goal playoff games dating back to last season against Odessa.
The Bucks are 3-0 in the series against Allen when they score four or more goals in a game, but are 0-3 when they score two or less goals.
Laredo has scored a power-play goal in three straight games after going 0-for-15 in the first three games combined.
The Bucks are looking for their first playoff series win since the 2008 Southern Conference Semifinals when they swept Odessa four games to none.
Tonight marks just the fourth game seven in Bucks franchise history including the first-ever on the road. Laredo holds a 2-1 record all-time in game seven's (two OT wins). Jeff Bes is the only Bucks player to play in all three of the teams' previous game sevens.
Todd Griffith (5-38) and Sylvain Deschatelets (1-78) lead the Bucks in playoff scoring with eight points while Justin Bowers (3-47) and Bruce Graham (2-57) pace the Americans with seven points apiece.
