
Bucks Add Citrus College Standout

Waterloo, IA - The Waterloo Bucks, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Mikey Ramirez to their roster for the 2012 season. Ramirezis a sophomore at Citrus College.
The 5'10", 190-pounder appeared in 15 games including 11 starts for the Fighting Owls this season. A native of Los Angeles, California, Ramirez owned a 7-1 record and two saves with a team-low 3.66 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 86 innings pitched.
Born September 3, 1992, Ramirez attended Etiwanda High School where he prepped four varsity seasons for the Eagles while earning first team All-Baseline League honors as a senior and second team All-Baseline League honors as junior. Ramirez is the son of son of Lizz Mendoza and Mike Ramirez.
The Bucks will open the 2012 season at home versus the Rochester Honkers on May 30 at 6:35 pm. The game will be aired live on 1650 The Fan.
