Montreal Alouettes News Release

Montreal - Montreal Alouettes fans are asked to eat very lightly in the hours, maybe even days, before the team's next home game, on Thursday, August 4, as the organization will be launching the brand new poutine l'Alouette.

Indeed, 1.2 kg of poutine will be offered in a full size Alouettes helmet at certain concession stands at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium during this game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. For those who would like to get an early start on the task, which isn't such a bad idea, note that the doors will open at 6 pm, while kickoff will be at 7:30 pm.

Conceived in collaboration with La Cage - Service Traiteur, the poutine l'Alouette will contain many succulent ingredients, which mixed together will surprise and satisfy your tastebuds all at once. This special version will contain red peel potatoes, cheese curds, Quebec salted lard and pulled pork, caramel popcorn, fried onions, along with Avril's signature maple and Amaretto sauce.

The poutine l'Alouette will be available for only $90 (taxes included) and the brave people who will order it will of course be able to keep the helmet as a trophy. It can be used to serve snacks when you invite friends over to watch an Alouettes road game on TV.

It is strongly recommended to order this item in company of friends, family members or even seat neighbours.

Quantities are limited and any person that wants to leave the stadium with a helmet, will necessarily have to order la Poutine l'Alouette. And the only place to do so is at an Alouettes home game.
