Bruins Sweep Blizzard

The Austin Bruins wrapped up their series against the Alexandria Blizzard at Riverside Arena. Austin exploded in the first period dominating the game in every aspect. The Bruins started the scoring festivities courtesy of Colton Kramer assisting was John Simonson. The Bruins made it 2-0 as Charlie Adams was set up by John Kirby. Chase McDonald made it a 3-0 Bruins lead, Trevor Waldoch and Jeremy Finger had assists. Austin took a 4-0 lead as Christian Folin put one in, assists went to Trevor Waldoch and Colton Kramer. The Bruins led 5-0 when John Kirby jammed in his team leading 11th goal of the season, the assist went to Charlie Adams. At the first intermission the Bruins led 5-0. The middle frame the Bruins pumped in their sixth goal of the contest as Chase McDonald scored directly off a faceoff. The Blizzard were able to score two goals in the second period. The Bruins made it 7-2 as Colton Kramer scored his second of the evening assisting was Charlie Adams. The Bruins had a 7-2 lead at the second intermission. The third period Brandon Wahlin found the back of the net assisting was Christian Folin. Colton Kramer made it a hat trick as he was able to score on a rush making it 9-2 Bruins. Assisting was Charlie Adams. The Blizzard added one more before the final making it 9-3. The Bruins complete the sweep over Alexandria with a 9-3 victory. The Bruins next opponent will be on Friday night against the Alexandria Blizzard at Riverside Arena.
