
Bruins stop Blizzard

Austin Bruins News Release
The Austin Bruins were back at Riverside Arena to battle the Alexandria Blizzard in game four of a best of five playoff series. Austin entered action with the upper hand in the series with a 2-1 lead. The first period the Bruins were able to create some quality scoring chances on Alexandria's goalie Jake Myers. After one period of play the game was scoreless. Austin was outshot 17-10 in the first period. The second period Austin took the lead as Jeremy Finger set up Brandon Wahlin. The Bruins took a 2-0 lead on the power play with a one timer from Charlie Adams, assisting was AJ Reid and Jon Gehrt. At the end of two periods of play Austin led 2-0. The third period Alexandria scored two unanswered goals just a couple minutes in to tie it. Nolan the Hurricane Kirley scored with under two minutes to play to give the Bruins the victory.
