
Bruins Host Rockets in Annual New Year's Eve Game

The Chilliwack Bruins (18-16-3-1) host the Kelowna Rockets (20-13-2-4) in their annual New Year's Eve game Monday night. Game time is 7pm. The Bruins are coming off a 3-2 win in Prince George Saturday night. The Rockets were beaten 5-2 Saturday night in Vancouver.
It's the fourth of ten games this season between the two teams. The Bruins have a win, a loss and an overtime loss in the first three contests.
Kelowna is in second place in the BC Division, six points ahead of the third place Bruins. The Bruins have played one less game than the Rockets.

Game Notes: Fans attending the contest will receive a free megaphone courtesy of Teksmed...The game will feature the top two scorers in the Western Hockey League. Bruins forward Mark Santorelli has 60 points this season and remains in first place in the scoring race, three points ahead of Kelowna's Colin Long...Bruins goaltender Mark Friesen has stopped 114 of the last 119 shots he has faced (95.8%)...Chilliwack will be without the services of Oscar Moller (World Juniors), Ryan Howse (World Under 17 Challenge) and Partik Bhungal (leg injury)...Kelowna will be without defensemen Luke Schenn (World Juniors) and Tyson Barrie (World Under 17 Challenge)...Don't forget to enter the draw for the chance to win a one-year membership to Great West Fitness.
