
Bruins Fight off Chill

The Austin Bruins were back at home this Friday night as the Black and Yellow tangled with the Coulee Region Chill. Jeremy Finger started the scoring for the third game in a row for the Bruins as he tapped in a Matt Hansen rebound, Brandon Wahlin also had an assist on the tally. The Chill came right back and tied the game with a power play goal. The Bruins were able to regain the lead with a power play goal from Charlie Adams, assisting was the Army Commit AJ Reid. At the end of two periods of play Austin led 2-1. The second period Austin continued to control the flow of the game. Matt Hansen scored a power play goal assisting was Charlie Adams and AJ Reid. The Chill than scored a shorthanded goal to inch closer making it a 3-2 score. Austin than scored a Shorty from Matt Hansen assisting was Trevor Waldoch. At the end of two periods of play Austin led 4-2. The third period the Bruins scored three goals in one 1:13 seconds to start the third period. Matt Hansen completed his hat trick in the third as the Bruins led 7-2. Coulee added their third of the night courtesy of Jake Useldinger. The Chill scored their second shorthanded goal of the night to make it 7-4 Bruins. Austin's 7-4 victory against the Chill is the fourth this season in four meetings for the Bruins.
