Austin Bruins News Release
The Austin Bruins wrapped up a two game set in Bismarck, North Dakota against the Bobcats. The first period the Bobcats took a 1-0 on the Power Play as Adam Knochemus dented the twine. The Bruins fired 12 shots on net in the first period while Bismarck had 6. At the first intermission Austin trailed 1-0. The second period Austin took over the contest. The Bruins got their first goal of the night from AJ Reid, who scored the goal from his rear end, assisting was Austin Nelson. AJ Reid added his second goal of the night as Cody Dixon was credited with the assist. The Bruins took a 3-1 lead with a Power Play from Johnny Simonson, assisting was Jay Dickman and Brandon Wahlin. At the end of two periods of play Austin led 3-1 and outshot Bismarck 22-12. The third period AJ Reid completed the Hat Trick to give the Bruins a 4-1 lead assists went to Jay Dickman and Jake Flynn. Bismarck was able to pull their goaltender and score two goals in the final moments. Austin was able to pull out the split on the weekend with a 4-3 victory. Austin will continue play on the road next weekend against the Aberdeen Wings, you can listen to the Broadcast at AM 1480 KAUS.
