
Brown Leads Lowgators over Flight

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (February 17) - The North Charleston Lowgators defeated the Huntsville Flight 91-80 on Monday night at the North Charleston Coliseum. Tierre Brown had 26 points and Damone Brown had 23, while pulling down 14 rebounds to pace the home team.
Trailing 75-69 midway through the fourth quarter, the Lowgators went on a 22-5 run to close out the contest. Huntsville only managed 13 points in the final period.
"I didn't have a great feeling going into the fourth quarter. They had been controlling the game, but we made a few defensive stops and then Damone and Tierre took over," head coach Doug Marty said.
Damone had 13 points in the fourth quarter and Tierre chipped in with 9. They were a combined 9 for 12 from the floor.
The Flight (17-21) were led by A.J. Guyton's 17 points off the bench. Rodney Bias did not start either but grabbed 12 rebounds.
The Lowgators (20-18) have won six home games in row and will host Greenville on Friday night. Huntsville has dropped their last give contests and will play a matinee at Roanoke on Saturday.
