Browder named AFL's Offensive Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia Soul quarterback Nick Browder has been named the Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in last week's 56-34 win over the Columbus Destroyers.

Browder completed 18 of 22 passes for 228 yards and five TDs and no interceptions. He also converted 3-of-3 third downs as the Soul recorded the first win of their inaugural season.

A four-year veteran of the Arena Football League, this is the first time Browder has receiver an AFL weekly award.

For the season, Browder has completed 61 of 99 passes for 709 yards and 13 TDs while throwing only one interception.

Chicago Rush offensive/defensive lineman john Moyer was named ADT Defensive Player of the Week and San Jose SaberCats wide receiver/defensive back Rashied Davis

The Soul hit the field this Sunday, February 29th when they travel to Tampa, FL to play the defending Arena Bowl champions, Storm. Kick-off is set for 3:00 p.m. ET. The Soul return to Philadelphia in two weeks when the host the Chicago Rush at the Wachovia Center. Kick-off for that game is set for Noon ET. Both games are scheduled to be broadcast live on NBC Sports (WCAU NBC-10). Tickets for the game are still available.
