Brooklyn Aviators News Release
BROOKLYN, New York - The Brooklyn Aviators, proud second year member of the Federal Hockey League, announced the signing of ECHL forward, Vladimir Nikiforov, and former Yale University defenseman, Ken Trentowski, to their 2011-12 FHL roster.
"These two young gentlemen will be great additions to our roster, especially this early in the season," said Aviators head coach and team president, Rob Miller.
Nikiforov, 24, spent last season in the East Coast Hockey League, and registered a combined eight points with the Florida Everbaldes, Bakersfield Condors, and Reading Royals. The left-handed shot excelled with the Royals, where he dressed in 24 games and posted five assists for the Boston Bruins' and Toronto Maple Leafs' ECHL affiliate.
"Vladimir has blazing speed and the ability to find the back of the net," Miller added. "He has played at the higher levels, and will add that experience we need on and off the ice."
The Brooklyn Aviators next home game is Nov. 5 against the Cape Cod Bluefins at 7:05 P.M. Great tickets are still on sale by calling 718-758-7580, or logging onto www.brooklynaviators.com.
