Brockton to Host Futures League's Rox & New Frontier League Team in 2024

BROCKTON/WEYMOUTH, Mass. - The Brockton Rox and the Futures Collegiate Baseball League are thrilled to announce the team's return to Campanelli Stadium for the 2024 season, marking their 13th season in the Futures League.

This season brings unprecedented excitement as the Rox' owner, Brian Kahn, has been revealed as the 16th member of the independent professional Frontier League, where he was awarded membership and plans to launch a new professional baseball team this year.

With the news, Campanelli Stadium is set to become a dual-host to two phenomenal baseball teams, offering fans an unforgettable 80-game schedule, with 32 Futures League games showcasing the incredible talents of college-age amateur players, many of whom hail from and/or attend college in the New England region.

Kahn expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I am proud to sponsor another summer season of Brockton Rox baseball at Campanelli Stadium in 2024. Adding a professional baseball team that will also call Campanelli Stadium home, ensures that our community will have access to high-quality baseball, in varying forms every day of summer in 2024. It's an incredible opportunity to showcase the talent and passion for baseball in our community. We're committed to delivering an outstanding experience for our fans in the ballpark and giving young athletes a platform to help them accomplish their life goals."

This announcement extends the long-standing partnership between the Futures League and Brockton, as the Rox joined the league during the second year of its existence in 2012 and have remained a consistent member ever since.

Futures League Commissioner Joe Paolucci is excited to have the Rox to continue play at Campanelli alongside Brockton's new pro team.

"Brockton has a rich tradition of baseball and now Campanelli Stadium will be bringing twice as much excitement to their fans," Paolucci said. "The Futures League is thrilled for Brian as he embarks on this new venture. We look forward to a great 2024 season of Futures League baseball with the Brockton Rox."

The Futures League's 2024 schedule will be released later this fall. Opening day is set for late May.
